4/5 Gas smell detected; Campus is determined to be safe

Dear KDC Team & Family,

At KDC, the safety and well-being of our students and staff is always our top priority. We are writing today to update you on a facilities issue that our team is actively working to resolve that will not impact the school day.

Earlier this morning, we identified the smell of gas in the school. With our facilities team, we took steps to determine that the HVAC system brought in an external smell which is both common and not dangerous. There was not an unsafe level of natural gas at any point today. The building is completely safe for students and staff.

We are working to ensure that there are no impacts to learning, please ensure your student remains committed to their daily attendance.

I sincerely appreciate your understanding during this time. We will continue to keep you informed should any new details arise.
