Middle School Lunch Schedule Change During CMAS Testing

📅 Wednesday, April 15 & Thursday, April 16

During the two full days of CMAS testing, middle school lunch procedures will be adjusted to minimize disruptions to high school PSAT testing.

  • Lunch will be eaten in classrooms.
  • School lunch (cold options such as sandwiches) will still be available and delivered directly to classrooms.
  • Students may order a school lunch with their teacher in the morning.

Please note:

  • Students must remain in their assigned testing rooms.
  • Outside food deliveries (e.g., DoorDash, Grubhub) will not be permitted.
  • Microwaves will not be available—students should plan to bring a cold lunch if not purchasing school lunch.

We appreciate your flexibility and cooperation during testing. Thank you!

10th, 11th, and 12th grade will not be testing (Independent Work Day at home) 🏠💻 11th grade will do Independent Work at home after testing is complete. There will be a space provided in the building for any student who needs to stay on campus to work.

ALL Students Testing:
Please have your student at Frontier Academy secondary building by 7:15 on test days ⏰ WITH THEIR SCHOOL-ISSUED COMPUTER AND CHARGER. 💻🔌

We ask that students leave the following items at home:
Cellphone and any other electronic devices 📱❌
Backpack or any school-related materials 🎒❌

P/SAT Testing:
Optional items to bring: approved calculator (and batteries), water, snack, external mouse, and mouse pad. 🧮💧

Students who are NOT testing:

During the April 15th and 16th testing days, teachers will be proctoring exams all day and will not be available for instructing classes or individual student help. The benefit of this plan is that we can complete tests as efficiently as possible to reduce the overall amount of time lost for instruction. As a result of the quick testing time frame and lack of direct instruction, we will be treating those days as an independent work day for any student who is not testing. 💻

This means students may work independently from home if you would like to excuse the absence with the front office or, if that isn’t possible, they may work in the school building, in a supervised setting. 🏠🏫

This is a great opportunity for students to catch up on or further master the work they have been doing in class this semester. 📖

Should your student need to come to school during testing times, we will provide supervision and a space for them to work for the day.

If you are interested in opting your student out of state testing (parent refusal), please stop by the main office BEFORE testing starts on April 13th, 2026.

There is no penalty for opting out of the test; however, test results are extremely valuable in determining how best to support your student’s learning! Please really consider if opting out of the test is the best option for your student’s success. 🎓📊
