Dress Code Reminder 🤩
As we begin the new semester, we would like to remind students and families of Frontier Academy’s dress code expectations. Below are common expectations. Please refer to the Student Handbook for the complete dress code.
-
No exposed bellies, backs, buttocks, breasts, or bare shoulders
-
No clothing with holes, tears, or patches
-
Hoods and hats may not be worn inside the building
-
Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be at least mid-thigh in length
Students who arrive out of dress code will be asked to contact home to have appropriate clothing brought to school. Thank you for your support as we start the semester strong.
AD Corner
This month, our coaching staff is emphasizing the Wolverine Commitment: 'Commit to Positivity.' We’re excited to continue building a strong, supportive culture across all of our programs.
We are also planning our third Lead ’Em Up work session for student-athletes toward the end of January or beginning of February—more details coming soon, so stay tuned!
Attention Senior Parents: If your athlete plans to continue their athletic career at the next level, please notify me as soon as possible. We will be hosting our College Signing Event on Wednesday, May 6th, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Additional information will be shared closer to the date.

Preparing for Winter Weather at Frontier Academy 🌨
Winter weather can sometimes change our school day. We want families to know how we make decisions if there is a chance of a snow day. Keeping students safe is always our number one goal.
Frontier Academy follows District 6 for school closures. If school needs to close, families will get a message on ReachWell and a text message (the text may come from an unknown number). We will also share updates on our website and social media pages.
If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Seedorf at seedorfs@frontieracademy.net
Attention English Learner Programs
Each year, students in English learner programs take the WIDA ACCESS language proficiency test. The test measures academic English language proficiency for students learning English in our school and throughout our state.
The test is scheduled to be taken between January 12, 2026, and February 13, 2026.
Please contact Amy Willis or Jacque Schmidt if you have questions about the WIDA ACCESS test.
Save the Date: Make-A-Wish at Frontier Academy 💙⭐
Frontier Academy K–12 will come together with our community to help grant wishes and spread hope. This is a meaningful opportunity for our Wolverines to unite, give back, and support those in our community.
Please begin to save your loose change and prepare for fun events throughout the week of February 9th-12th that have an entry fee for participation.
Wolverines Make Wishes Come True! 💫💙
Traffic Support Needed 🚨
Earlier this year, we shared that Union Colony Security would no longer be able to provide traffic support at our campuses. Since May 2025, we have been actively searching for a replacement; however, we have not yet found a company that meets our safety and training standards.
If you know of a reputable security company capable of providing safe and reliable traffic support, please contact me at yatesm@frontieracademy.net.
Thank you for your assistance.

Director of Operations & Security
