It's Eweek time again!
Here are the details:
EWeek (Elective Week) is when high school students pause their regular classes for 4 days. Oct 13, 14, 15, and 16.
EWeek is required for all 9th and 10th-grade students.
It is optional for 11th and 12th grade.
Click here for more information on EWeek at Frontier Academy
Discuss the course options with your student.
PLEASE pay special attention to which classes involve field trips away from school, as there may be conflicts with extracurricular games, events, or practices.
For example, some classes include all-day long field trips and non-standard meeting locations.
Students are expected to attend ALL portions of the EWeek class.
EWeek signup is online.
On September 22nd, we will open an ONLINE lottery system, to remain open for 5 days, assigning students to their top choice of EWeek class, as it is available. Sign-up CLOSES at 11:59 pm on Saturday, September 27th!
This is not first-come, first-served. Instead, it is based on student choice and a lottery draw for each class.
Signing up for the same class more than once will not help you get the first choice. In fact, it reduces the chances of getting the desired class.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Schmidt.
CMAS and P/SAT Score Reports Coming Home This Week
Parents of students currently in Grades 6-12 for the 2025-2026 school year.
Arriving home with your student this week, are score reports detailing how they performed on last spring’s statewide assessments (CMAS), including tests in English Language Arts, Math, and Science for some. Additionally, 10th-12th-grade students will be receiving their P/SAT scores.
Please be sure to check backpacks for those reports.
Take some time to review your child’s score and talk with your child and their teacher(s) about their progress. For more information on how to interpret the CMAS score results, please refer to these quick guides:
CMAS Understanding ELA and Math Score Reports, English.pdf
CMAS Understanding ELA and Math Score Reports, Spanish.pdf
CMAS Understanding Science Score Reports, English.pdf
CMAS Understanding Science Score Reports, Spanish.pdf
You are also able to access your student’s information online. Click here for more information!
In addition to the paper copy of the P/SAT scores, all high school students are encouraged to access their scores through the College Board website. To locate scores, students will need to create a College Board account. Click here to follow these steps to create an account. Students will use this account all four years of high school and will be able to access all P/SAT scores and AP scores using this login information.
Feel free to contact Mrs. Schmidt (schmidtj@frontieracademy.net) with any questions regarding CMAS or Mrs. Scribbick (scribbicks@frontieracademy.net) with any questions regarding P/SAT.
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Frontier Academy Secondary will conduct hearing and vision screenings on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, during regular school hours.
Who Will Be Screened:
- Students in Grades 7 and 9
- All new students
- Students with special education needs (per Colorado state guidelines)
These brief screenings are not full exams, but they help identify students who may need further evaluation. If your child wears prescription glasses or hearing aids, please ensure they bring and wear them to school that day.
- If your child passes: You will not be contacted.
- If your child does not pass: We will send home a note with next steps.
If you do not want your child to participate, please contact the health office for an opt-out form. Forms must be returned by September 30, 2025.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the health office.
Sincerely,

Frontier Families,
Earlier this school year, we informed you that Union Colony Security would no longer be providing traffic support in front of our campuses.
Since May 2025, we have been actively searching for a new company to fill this important role. We have reached out to multiple security companies, but so far, none have been able to meet our requirements for proper documentation, training, and safety standards. Our priority is to hire a reputable company that can ensure a safe environment for our students and families.
If you are aware of any reputable security companies that may be interested in providing traffic support for Frontier Academy, we would greatly appreciate your recommendations.
Please send any suggestions or contact information to me at yatesm@frontieracademy.net.
Thank you for your continued support as we work to find the right solution.
Sincerely,
Mike Yates
Director of Operations & Security
