Update from Secondary Administration
As we begin wrapping up this school year, we want to remind you that Thursday, May 22nd will have a completely different schedule aimed at returning Chromebooks and cleanup. School will close at 12:30. Should you need to pick your child up early or if they will be absent, simply call Mrs. Ceja at 970-339-9153.
7:30 am -12:30 pm - Students will have time designated for Chromebook collection, yearbook signing as well as time in each class so they can see friends and say goodbye to their teachers. There will not be a scheduled lunch break.
Be sure your child brings their school-issued Chromebook* to school on May 22. Over the summer, we will perform maintenance and updates. This will be returned to your child during registration at the end of July. *8th graders will get to keep their Chromebooks but will need to have the serial number checked by their CLAW teacher on or before 5/22/25
Keep the Chromebook charger in a safe place at home* over the summer so it is ready to go once the computer is returned to your student during registration in July. If you don’t bring the charger to school on August 4th, 2025, you will need to be prepared to purchase a charger. All school Chromebooks use a Chromebook USB-C type charger (65W). *IF your student will not be returning to Frontier next school year, please return the charger along with the Chromebook to the front office.
BACKUP CHROMEBOOK COLLECTION DAY- Friday, May 23rd: 10:00 am-12:00 pm - We will collect any remaining Chromebooks that were not brought on Thursday. This will be an outdoor/drive-up station and will move indoors if weather conditions are poor.
July 22-23:
When families return to school to get lockers, class schedules, and pay fees, we will return the student’s device to them. We ask families to provide a simple protective sleeve or case for the Chromebook to minimize the chances of accidental damage.

What About Multi-Day Exams, Projects, or Essays?
For classes with longer assessments, the scheduled exam day will typically be the final due date. Teachers have flexibility to administer multi-day finals and will also provide meaningful assignments on the scheduled final day.
For example, a long essay might be turned in early, but students could be asked to reflect on their work, complete a self-assessment, or give a presentation on the final exam day.
What Happens on "Non-Test" Days?
Teachers will use these days for:
- Review and preparation before exams
- Extended time or makeup tests
- Career exploration activities
- Engaging lessons that didn’t fit earlier in the year
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. We appreciate your support in helping students finish the semester strong!
