The Douglas County School District will be on a 90-MINUTE DELAY on Tuesday, December 10, due to weather conditions.

Douglas County appears to have received the brunt of this snowstorm compared to some of our neighbors. A delay will provide DCSD’s Operations Team additional time to clear snow and ensure that our facilities can safely open and operate. This will also give our towns and cities more time to de-ice roads, and our families and staff additional time to commute to work and school.

A 90-MINUTE DELAY means that schools are delayed by an hour and a half.

As always, we respect the decision of our parents to keep their children home, if needed - this will be an excused absence. If you choose to do so, please notify your child’s school.

Safety is a top priority and our snow team will continue to monitor the storm. We will provide any updates on our website and social media.
