Welcome to March! We are absolutely ready for the later sunsets and warmer weather! We have a few more weeks before our Spring Break. We plan on keeping things as normal and routine as possible as we lead up to the next big break.

- March 8th: 3:00pm - 4:00pm Dora Moore Celebrates "Read Across America Day" and DEARs! *Details below*
- March 8th: ECE Only, No School (Normal day for K-8th Grade!)
- March 23rd - April 1st: No School for All DPS Students, Spring Break!
Read Across America Day->DEAR
Dora Moore will be collectively celebrating Read Across America Day by doing a Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) for the last hour (3:00pm - 4:00pm) of the school day on Friday, March 8th. Each class will participate in their own way--look for more specifics from classroom teachers this week!

AI Camp Opportunity for Middle School
We're AI Camp! Founded by Stanford Ph.D.s - we are leaders in AI education and we have made it our mission to open doors for students into the tech industry! We would like to invite Dora Moore ECE-8 School students to apply for the 2024 AI Camp Scholarship (Deadline: March 10, 2024)!
The scholarship is designed for our highly popular AI Bootcamp summer program, a three-week, online journey through the fascinating world of AI. Here, over 5000 students have already transformed their curiosity into creation, developing their own AI product under the guidance of experts from top companies and universities like Google, Stanford, MIT, and many more.
Scholarship Details:
Open to middle and high school students, the AI Camp Scholarship—ranging from full to partial—is designed to make AI Bootcamp accessible to all. Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first served basis. The deadline for applications is March 10, 2024. Please advise students to act fast, as spots for this program are filling up quickly!

ECE: Tuesday, June 4th, 10:00am - 11:30am, In Classrooms and on the ECE playground!
Kinder: Tuesday, June 4th, 10:00am - 11:30am, On the playground!
5th Grade: Tuesday, June 4th, 2:00pm - 3:00pm, In the auditorium!
8th Grade: Friday, May 31st, 10:00am - 11:00am, In the auditorium!
