Rise and Shine, It's Back to School Time!

We are so excited to welcome our students back to school--we can already tell 2024 is going to be a good one!

As the weather remains very cold during the winter months, please review a few reminders regarding our school policies for drop-off procedures:

Breakfast

1. Students are allowed in the cafeteria/gym from 8:30 - 8:55
2. K-5 students sit at grade level tables in the cafeteria to eat breakfast, 1-5 Students who have eaten breakfast and cleaned up their personal area are allowed to be dismissed to the playground starting at 8:45am.
3. K students are not allowed to be dismissed early as they are walked by kinder paras to class and are handed off directly to the teachers
4. 6-8 students eat breakfast in the cafeteria at the designated middle school table. Once students are done eating, students will be dismissed to the gym.
5. All students still eating breakfast will transition to playground at 8:55am.
6. School Bell rings at 9:00am, teachers greet students on the playground and doors are opened.

**There is no supervision on the playground before 8:45am. Students are not allowed to be dropped off without guardian supervision on the playground prior to 8:45am. All students who are dropped off for breakfast must stay in the cafeteria until 8:45am when they can be dismissed by an adult.**

 

Inclement Weather

We define inclement weather as a temperature below 20 degrees and/or active and substantial precipitation.

In the rare case that we have inclement weather that requires a different entry procedure:

1. Doors will open at 8:55am, there will not be adult supervision on the playground. 
2. Students will enter the building and report directly to their classes, teachers will not greet students on the playground.
3. Students dropped off for breakfast will not be dismissed to the playground early and will sent directly to their classes at 8:55am through the building.
