Discovery Link Is Coming To Dora Moore Next Year! 

Dear Dora Moore Families,

Discovery Link - the only district-run before-school, after-school, and full-day camp program - is coming to Dora Moore! Families can access care beginning on August 21st, 2023. Students will participate in fun and engaging activities that support learning, relationship-building skills, movement, and creativity.

The State of Colorado licenses Discovery Link, and we must register all students before they can participate in programming. Please join us at a community information event to learn more about the program and how to navigate our registration software:

Thursday, May 11th at 3:50 pm – Dora Moore Library

Registration requires parents to enter student and guardian information and upload several documents. We've created a checklist of the information and documents you must gather.

Las familias pueden acceder a la atención a partir del 21 de agosto de 2023. Los estudiantes participarán en actividades divertidas y atractivas que apoyan el aprendizaje, las habilidades de construcción de relaciones, el movimiento y la creatividad.

El registro requiere que los padres ingresen la información del estudiante y del tutor y carguen varios documentos en nuestra plataforma. Hemos creado una lista de verificación de la información y los documentos necesarios para registrarse.

CMAS Resumes on Tuesday!

Our 3rd-8th grade students will all be taking the math portions of the CMAS assessments on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday! Please have your student present and on-time each day as testing begins right at the bell!

In Case Your Missed It: No Early Dismissal After 3:40pm!

Many families are attempting to pick up their student early, specifically before dismissal between 3:40pm and 3:50pm when the bell rings. 

We will no longer be allowing parents to sign students out within 10 minutes of the bell ringing. Classes are already in transition towards the door and often unable to be located causing a challenging and honestly, quite a frustrating experience for everyone. Please plan accordingly. If you ring the front buzzer to pick-up a student between 3:40pm and 3:50pm our wonderful office staff will kindly ask you to wait at your students normal dismissal location for them when the bell rings.

Dress Code Reminder, Especially As The Weather Gets Warmer

Dora Moore Dress Code:

• Students are not allowed to wear hats or hoods on their heads inside the building. Religious or cultural head coverings are allowed with family confirmation. We are committed to excellence and preparing students to be future ready. Part of this includes learning how to dress for success. We follow district dress policies, as described below:  Attire must not disrupt the school’s learning environment. It must meet reasonable standards of cleanliness and show respect for others. If a teacher or staff member identifies that a child’s clothing does not meet reasonable standards or has inappropriate pictures or language, they will have a quiet, private conversation with the student and school psychologist/social worker. Families will be notified in cases of repeated clothing incidents.
