Middle School Calendar & Upcoming Deadlines
1/10-1/11: ACCESS Testing
-
Each year, students in English learner programs take the ACCESS for ELLs language proficiency test. The test measures academic English language proficiency for students learning English in our school and throughout our state.
-
The attendance of English Language Learners and Multilingual learners is extremely important on these days. Students who are absent will miss class to make up any testing that was missed.
- Students will be released at regular time.
1/15: No School, MLK Day
-
CVMS will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 15th. Students will return to school on Tuesday, Jan 16th
1/16-1/17: iReady Testing
-
iReady testing is happening Tuesday 1/16 and Wednesday 1/17, students will be taking the iReady Diagnostic Screener in both Math (1/16) and Reading (1/17)
-
Please make sure students are present at school and on time on these days.

i-Ready is an online program for reading and mathematics that will help your student’s teacher(s) determine your student’s needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the school year.

Students will be released at regular time.

Coffee with Directors - Tuesday, January 9, 2024

Family Working Group - Thursday, January 18, 2024
If you like to make progress and get things done, this is the group for you! Each month, we focus on one to three topics to tackle in an effort to improve our campus.
January topics:

Finalizing the Vision and Mission statements of our “College View Families” meeting spaces

Finalize a family survey about classes and workshops we will be offering to families during 2nd semester

Making phone calls to invite more families to join our upcoming meetings

We’re excited to have some of our past graduates on Campus on Wednesday, January 10. They will have a chance to talk to our current students and staff about life after CVHS!

Fundraising
The King Soopers Community Rewards program is an easy way to donate money to your school by shopping at King Soopers! Sign up on the King Soopers website is fast and free! Just connect your Sooper Card to the program using our organization ID (EH570) and buy your regular grocery list. The school will receive 5% back. The money will be used as an established scholarship fund for students in the high school to travel out of Colorado before they graduate. Please take 5 minutes to sign up and start donating to a great cause!
