La Raza Report - contracted by DPS through The Multicultural Leadership Center, LLC

Please help in gathering data for this report by completing the survey below.

The goal of the “La Raza Report” is to identify barriers and opportunities for Latino students, parents, and staff within Denver Public Schools. As you may know our school is home to 88% students that identify as Hispanic or Latino. We would love to encourage 100% of our Hispanic and Latino students and families to complete this survey.

A note from the Superintendent’s Office that was originally sent on May 31, 2023: “Denver Public Schools has commissioned the development of a detailed La Raza Report (LRR) with the goal of listening to the voices of our Latina/o/Hispanic stakeholders, detailing the status and accomplishments of Latina/o students, teachers, staff, administrators, and parents. This will be a counterpart to the widely-known Bailey Report. You can learn more details here.

This survey has six Sections. You can complete it for each of the roles you play in DPS.

  • one for students,

  • one for parents, (in English or Spanish)

  • one for teachers,

  • one for school leaders,

  • one for non-leader school staff, and

  • one for central office.”

Please complete the survey as soon as possible to ensure your feedback is reflected in the report.

Wolves in Action

The Family Working Group had 13 parents attend and we accomplished a lot at our last meeting! We submitted requests to the city to (1) Make the green light longer when leaving campus at Federal and Dartmouth (2) Add a green turn arrow when trying to enter the campus when going North on Federal and turning West onto Dartmouth (3) clean up old furniture that was dumped near the Irving and Dartmouth intersection. We also (4) took time to nominate outstanding educators and advocates to receive recognition from the Colorado Association for Bilingual Education (CO-CABE). We look forward to having more families join us in October!
