Asian Girls Ignite - Fall 2023 Events

Hello DSST College View families and staff,

 

I am pleased to pass along information about an amazing local organization called Asian Girls Ignite. This organization welcome all Colorado AAPI middle and high school girls in order to build a strong community and celebrate individual and collective power through shared stories.

Below are some upcoming events in Denver, Aurora, and beyond! Some of these activities have fees, however, if you would like to attend and are concerned about the fee, please email me, James Calvet, at my email address below to find accomodations.

Outdoor Ancestors (9/17-10/8)
1️⃣ Introduction to Top Rope (9/17):
Learn how to belay, tie a figure 8 knot, and partner for safety checks.

2️⃣ Indoor Practice (10/1):
Practice skills from the last lesson and learn about the art of route setting.

3️⃣ Outdoor Climbing (10/8):
Combine all your learnings to climb outdoors and hear from an AAPI woman storyteller.
