☀️Summer Connections Registration

Summer Connections is a free, five-week academic program that is open to all rising first through fifth-grade DPS students. This full-day program focuses on preparing elementary students for future success. Registration will opens TODAY. Learn more and register here.

🏈 Flag Football Registration
All 4th-5th Graders can register to play flag football starting today. Learn more here.

🎈Toys
We have had a huge issue with toys coming to school. As a reminder from our Family-Student Handbook, toys are not allowed at school. If a student brings a toy, it will be confiscated and will only be returned to the parent.

Multicultural Night
Mark your calendars for Multicultural Night on May 16th from 4:00-7:00pm. See this flyer for more information.

Accepting Change in Others
One of the most beautiful parts of working with humans is observing change and growth in others. One of our favorite parts of working with children is that growth is always occurring. Growth can be seen in so many ways, our reading, writing, math, and social skills. Students and staff are always working together to make sure that students are growing in the way that they need. Whether that is math support, or social emotional support, we are a community that is proud of growth and change.Accepting and encouraging students growth in math a safe and healthy manner. Students are always learning and growing. We can help support our students by making sure they can see and understand that growth can occur in many different ways.

The McMeen Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) supports the education and well-being of children at McMeen and fosters relationships among McMeen's students, families, staff, and local community. This mission is accomplished through volunteer support, fundraising efforts, community-building events, and teacher and programmatic support.
