Saturday School
Registration for this semester's Saturday School is now open. You can learn more here. Thank You
I just want to say thank you to our McMeen community for embracing and supporting me during my Principal Residency these past 2 weeks. It was a wonderful learning opportunity for me as a leader. We are looking forward to Principal Hinman returning next week. Substance Abuse Parent Information
The unfortunate reality these days is that substance abuse can begin as early as elementary school. DPS has created a department aimed at supporting substance abuse in children. Learn more here. Classroom Ambassadors Program
Calling all parents! McMeen is launching a Classroom Ambassadors program (similar to the classroom parent role at other schools). Classroom Ambassadors will help support our classroom teachers, engage parents, and help facilitate communication. If you are interested in learning more or becoming a Classroom Ambassador — in either for your child’s classroom or grade level — email mcmeenpto@gmail.com. More details to come.

It is likely that your child will experience some name calling, will get into arguments or disagreements, and may even be involved in physical fights. Talk with or role play with your student on how to handle these difficult situations. Not all conflict is bullying, but knowing what to do during conflict can help prevent your student from being bullied in the future.
The McMeen Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) supports the education and well-being of children at McMeen and fosters relationships among McMeen's students, families, staff, and local community. This mission is accomplished through volunteer support, fundraising efforts, community-building events, and teacher and programmatic support. Membership is free and open to all McMeen families and staff. Reach out to mcmeenpto@gmail.com get involved or learn more. 🗓️ Next PTO Meeting: Monday, February 12, 2023 @ 6:00 PM via Zoom THANK YOUSThank you to our 2023-2024 Mustang Sponsors |
