Classroom Updates

3rd Grade -Third-graders have started to do multiplication with arrays! We spent this week helping Watertown count how many windows they have on their buildings!

ECE, Elidana Merkebu - Elidana is such a kind and caring friend in the classroom. She always helps friends in need. Good job Elidana! - Mr. Hughes

Kindergarten, Benjamin Bui-Ghafur - Benjamin is so responsible! He is always willing to help out his friends. - Ms. Kendall

4th Grade, Amos Wright - Amos has shown incredible leadership, focus, and perseverance this week in PE class. - Coach James

Kindergarten, Norain Hamad - Norain is such a kind, hardworking and compassionate student and we are so lucky to have him in our classroom! - Ms. Blair

3rd Grade, Natalie Vaughn -  Natalie does a good job leading by example and answering questions when we check for understanding. - Coach James

PTO is always looking for more members and involvement from families. Reach out to them at mcmeenpto@gmail.com to learn more. Also, be sure to check the PTO portion of the weekly newsletter below to stay up-to-date on their activities. You can also sign-up to receive information directly through the PTO in ReachWell. Simply click on the groups icon at the bottom (it looks like 3 people), select "Update Groups" and select "PTO Communication" and "Update."

Don't have the bandwidth to volunteer but want to help? There are other ways! Make a donation to the PTO. Contributions help fund school projects, events, and scholarships. McMeen Elementary PTO is a 501(c)3 organization and contributions may be tax-deductible. Make a donation here.

SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

Businesses can support McMeen through the new sponsorship program that is rolling out this year. 100% of the money raised by the PTO sponsorship program for the 2023-2024 school year will fund technology upgrades for each classroom. This money will be matched 1:1 by a technology grant. Your money will go twice as far for McMeen.
