What this means for families:

  • By completing the form, you will help us access all available funds to cover the cost of meals, and other nutritional programs for students.
  • Families who fill out the You Benefit! form may qualify to receive discounted school fees, class materials, bus passes, utilities support and more!
  • All household income information provided through this form is strictly confidential and protected by lawOnly one form is required for all children in the household. Immigration, migrant, citizenship or refugee status is not required when completing the form.

REMINDER Saturday School
CHANGE OF DATE: Due to the low parent interest, the start date of Saturday School has been postponed until Oct. 7th.
Starting Saturday, October 7th, McMeen will be hosting Saturday School from 9am - 12pm.  Students should attend to help make up lost instructional time from the pandemic and/or from absences from school.  We believe that with this targeted additional instructional time on Saturdays, we can help address some academic gaps.

During Saturday School, students will receive literacy and math instruction to support their academic success and engage with some Social Emotional Learning (SEL), as an extension of what we do during the regular school week. Students should arrive promptly at 9 a.m. at the main doors on Holly street.  This is also the same location to be picked up at 12 noon. The school will provide snacks/ drinks as well as  prizes/gifts and books at the end of the program for students who attend.

Please note, learning time on Saturday is in addition to the time they attend during the regular school week and should not be substituted.  We hope you take advantage of this additional opportunity for your child to help prepare them for the next grade level.

If you have questions or concerns, please call Principal Hinman 720-424-5522. Thank you very much for supporting your student's education by helping her/him attend school and make up missed instructional time. The deadline for signing up is now Friday September 15th.

More information and the sign-up can be found here.

Classroom Updates

In ECE, we have been focusing on rituals and routines. We feel that teaching these in the beginning helps to set our students up for success throughout the school year. We are starting to learn about feelings, how to identify how we are feeling and how to express how we are feeling by verbalizing them to their peers.

Kindergarten (Room 101) -All the kids in rm 101 have been doing amazing learning of our classroom & school expectations!!
