Good Rainy Morning McMeen Families!

  For this week's topic I'm going to get a little self-centered 😏: National School Nurse Day! Well, it was actually yesterday, May 10th, but it was very busy in the health office yesterday!

   Did you know that school nurses aren't just in the schools to place Band-Aids and hand out ice packs?

  School nurses are grounded in ethical and evidence-based practice and are the leaders who bridge health care and education, provide care coordination, advocate for quality student-centered care, and collaborate to design systems that allow individuals and communities to develop to their full potential today and every day.

  Attached to this message, you will find the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) Proclamation for National School Nurse Day. This proclamation outlines all of the work nurses do in the schools.
