Attendance

McMeen is working with the district to address attendance concerns. When students miss too much school— regardless of the reason – it can cause them to fall behind other students. This can mean just missing two days a month. Our overall goal as a school is to get to a 95% attendance average. Below is a breakdown of this week's attendance by grade-level compared to last week's attendance. As you can see, we have some work to do.

REMINDER Spring Scholastic Book Fair

Save the dates: Our Spring Scholastic Book Fair will be held the week of May 8th-12th and will be open early the night of May 4th during Multicultural Night.  All classes will have an opportunity to browse the book fair and hear book talks and promotions by Ms. Ramsey.  The link for the flyer is below which includes a Volunteer Sign Up Genius link to help during our book fair and the Homepage where families can set up E-Wallet (a prepaid amount of money their child can spend at the book fair).  Please email Ms. Ramsey with any questions.

REMINDER 2023-2024 McMeen Calendar

Here is the draft of our McMeen Calendar for the 2023-2024 School Year. All the planning days are finalized and we are working on finalizing dates for other McMeen events.

REMINDER Chromebooks Over the Summer

DPS has changed their policies for chromebooks over the summer. We will now be collecting all chromebooks, chargers, and hotspots prior to the end of the school year. There will be a process for students to check-out their chromebooks for the summer if families so wish. We will share more information about the check-out process soon. In the meantime, please make sure your student knows where all these devices are as families will likely be charged for anything that is not returned.
