2023-2024 McMeen Planning Days

We got our 23-24 McMeen Planning Days approved. We will have the following as teacher planning days (no school for students) in addition to what is already on DPS' 23-24 Calendar: September 25th, November 10th, February 15th, March 15th, and May 3rd.

Discovery Link Registration for the 23-24 School Year

Registration for the school year 2023-2024 Discovery Link - the only district-run before school, after school, and full-day camp program – opens on Monday, April 17th at 6:00 am MST. At Discovery Link, students will participate in fun and engaging activities that support learning, relationship-building skills, movement, and creativity.

When registration opens, please access the following links:

Attendance

McMeen is working with the district to address attendance concerns. When students miss too much school— regardless of the reason – it can cause them to fall behind other students. This can mean just missing two days a month. Our overall goal as a school is to get to a 95% attendance average. Below is a breakdown of this week's attendance by grade-level compared to last week's attendance. As you can see, we have some work to do.

Ranch Camp

Here's another summer opportunity for students in 1st-3rd Grade. It's a one week overnight opportunity designed to support kids in exploring the world. See the flyer below:

George Washington Pop Up Shops

George Washington High School (the Patriots) is having a Pop Up shop this summer and is looking for vendors. See the flyer below if you are interested.
