Delayed Start Clarification

Thank you everyone for observing and being flexible with the delayed start called today by DPS. We want to make sure you all are clear on what this means for today and for future days that this might occur. Below are some answers to questions we are hearing from families:

• On these days, everything is delayed by 2 hours, including the buses. The only exception is that before-school Discovery Link is delayed by 1 hour.
• Both breakfast and lunch are still served - however, due to the late start, many teachers may offer breakfast later in the day since lunch starts shortly after student arrival.
• School still ends at 3:20pm. The delayed start just allows everyone more time to safely get to school, it does not extend our school day.
