Recess Volunteers
We are always looking for recess volunteers. Our recess runs from 11:30-1:10 everyday. We are happy to help you find the time your child is at recess if that is something you are interested in. The general idea is to provide a time for families to come and volunteer at recess and provide extra supervision. The sincere hope is that this is a fun way to support the school. We have put together a Guide for Playground Volunteers in English, Spanish, Arabic, and Farsi that goes over some basics of how to get started. You can sign up to volunteer at this link.

Classroom Updates
ECE - We had a very special guest come visit us in our ECE classrooms last Friday on Superhero Day. Firefighter Jerry Toney (husband of our amazing 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Toney) brought in some of the equipment that he uses on the job to show our students. He also gave them some tips on how to stay safe and what to do in case of a fire. It was an awesome visit and very fitting that it was on Superhero Day since he is a real life Superhero.
5th Grade - Last week 5th grade braved the cold and attended their field trip at Balarat! They had the opportunity to see an old mining shaft and hile a few miles through the snow. We are so proud of them!
4th Grade - 4th grade students in the Art Studio worked alongside a visiting artist from the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art in a photography project. Thank you PTO for funding this creative, inspiring experience.
In PE for grades 2-5 we have been doing partner stunts like the pyramid and climbing the BIG ROPE! In grades ECE - 1 we have been practicing our dribbling skills and applying them in games like Red Light/Green Light!
