Recess Volunteers
We are always looking for recess volunteers. Our recess runs from 11:30-1:10 everyday. We are happy to help you find the time your child is at recess if that is something you are interested in. The general idea is to provide a time for families to come and volunteer at recess and provide extra supervision. The sincere hope is that this is a fun way to support the school. We have put together a Guide for Playground Volunteers in English, Spanish, Arabic, and Farsi that goes over some basics of how to get started. Please email Stacy West if you are interested at stacy1west@gmail.com.
Announcements
School Performance Framework Update
As you may remember, we were originally rated as Orange and “year 0 on the clock” based on the new state-wide School Performance Framework. We were given an opportunity to appeal this rating, and Principal Hinman did. As a result, our rating has been changed to Yellow and we are no longer considered on the clock. You can learn more about the School Performance Framework here: https://www.cde.state.co.us/accountability/performanceframeworks
Multilingual Education Districtwide Advisory Committee (MLE DAC)
The next MLE DAC Meeting will be on Wednesday, January 25th at Thomas Jefferson High School. Translation services will be provided. You can learn more through these fliers: English, Spanish, and Arabic
CSC Budget Training
The Collaborative School Committee (CSC) Connecting to the Budget Training offered by Family and Community Engagements Empowerment Team and the Office of Finance is next Tuesday, January 10th from 5-6:30pm virtually! The Training will be recorded and shared with all once we are able to caption the training in our consent decree languages.
