Recess Volunteers
We are always looking for recess volunteers. Our recess runs from 11:30-1:10 everyday. We are happy to help you find the time your child is at recess if that is something you are interested in. The general idea is to provide a time for families to come and volunteer at recess and provide extra supervision. The sincere hope is that this is a fun way to support the school. We have put together a Guide for Playground Volunteers in English, Spanish, Arabic, and Farsi that goes over some basics of how to get started. Please email Stacy West if you are interested at stacy1west@gmail.com.

3rd Grade - The Third Grade teachers would like to thank our families for all the support so far this year. The Third Grade has been learning how systems of the body all work together. Please ask your child what they have learned about the systems of the body. We have spent much time learning about the brain being the control center of the body. In math, we are learning how to use story problems in our everyday life. During the break, think about what story problem you can share in everyday life. On December 9th, our school participated in JA in a day. The Third Grade focus was financial literacy. Our students learned about different types of currency from checks, to debit cards, and credit cards, to the importance of saving and earning money. The Third Grade teachers wish all our families a wonderful winter break!
3rd Grade Art students worked on beautiful winter inspired 3-D pieces this week!
