We wanted to send a quick reminder about some DPS Resources and Meetings occurring this week:

School Safety Resource Fair

The Community Engagement Team has been working hard in partnership with the Safety and Security team to facilitate a community event for all of our DPS families. They will host the School Safety Resource Fair TODAY, October 25th from 5:00-6:30pm at Manual High School. You can learn more from these fliers: Spanish, English, and Arabic. At the fair, you can expect to learn more about:

-DPS Policy Regarding Safety

-How to talk to our children about school violence

-How to access appropriate resources for people who have experienced trauma

- and Access to more resources regarding safety

Multilingual Education's Districtwide Advisory Committee (MLE DAC) Meeting

Schools and families of multilingual learners are invited to attend the Multilingual Education (MLE) Districtwide Advisory Committee (DAC) meeting on Oct. 26 from 5-7 p.m. at Manual High School. Please see this flier. At this in-person meeting, families and staff will learn more about the resources to advocate for their students on the topics of assessments, On-Track to Graduate and Accelerated Learning Resources.
