Weekly Message from School Nurse - FREE GLASSES!

Happy Wednesday McMeen Families!
As I was thinking about what topic to share today, I received an email from our district's dental hygienist, Teresa Ramirez, about an amazing opportunity this weekend to receive FREE VISION EXAMS and FREE GLASSES to students in need.
Perfect timing! We here at McMeen have seen an increase in student's with vision impairments without their needed glasses. This is a great opportunity to get new glasses for kiddos! It's also a great opportunity for all kids to receive free vision screening/exams.
Vision impairment is a common reason some students may struggle in the classroom. Not only can vision impairments cause learning difficulties, they can actually lead to attention difficulty in the classroom and even behavior changes.
I have attached the flyer for this great opportunity. Participants are encouraged to register before hand at www.vonmiller.org/page/examday.
