Submit your Free & Reduced Lunch Forms Today! Visit this page for more information and to submit your form.

American Furniture Warehouse Fundraiser - American Furniture Warehouse will donate part of their proceeds from a purchase to McMeen. We use these funds to pay for buses for field trips. See the fliers below for more information.

Announcements

First Day of School - Below are some logistics for the first day of school.

  • There is no supervision on the playground until 8:05.
  • Kiss & Go opens at 8:05 - Kiss & Go is intended to be a fast drop-off where you to pull up, say goodbye to your kids, then drive off. If you would like to walk up with your child, or if your child is in ECE, please find a parking space on the street.
  • All drop-off and pick-up will happen on the playground.
  • Teachers will be outside at 8:10 with signs to help you find where to go.
  • If you arrive after 8:30, you must check-in at the office using the main door off Holly St.
  • Afternoon pick-up will be at the same spot you drop your child off at 3:20pm.
  • If your child rides a bus in the afternoon, please communicate that and the bus number to your child's teacher. DPS does not always automatically enroll everyone. If you do not see a bus listed in your Parent Portal, please call the office early in the day on Monday so we can figure it out and get your child on the right bus.

We are so excited to see students on Monday! Please reach out to us if you have any questions.

Student and Family Handbook - We have written and implemented a Student and Family Handbook. Please thoroughly review it for policies as it relates to students at school (e.g. dress code, cell phones, absences, etc.).

Resources from DPS

Zero Fare RTD
During the entire month of August, RTD is offering zero fares across its system as part of the Zero Fare for Better Air initiative. This collaborative, statewide initiative, made possible by Colorado Senate Bill 22-180, in partnership with the Colorado Energy Office, is designed to reduce ground-level ozone by increasing the use of public transit. Current RTD customers will also benefit as they will not have to use or purchase fare products from Aug. 1-31, during Colorado’s high ozone season.

Please share this information with your families by including this link on your social media channels. Please note: Transportation Services will still only be providing RTD passes to eligible high school students.
