Green Valley Ranch HS Leadership Announcement
04/13/22, 4:32 PM
Dear Green Valley Ranch High School Students and Families,
I hope today finds you well! I am writing with some exciting updates regarding the leadership of Green Valley Ranch High School for the 2022-23 school year.
I am very grateful for your partnership and feedback as we’ve worked together to identify and select the next School Director to lead GVR HS. Thanks to your input, we are excited to announce that Ms. Jenny Brown will assume the role of School Director beginning in the 2022-23 school year. Since joining the GVR HS team in 2019, Jenny’s instructional expertise and steady, thoughtful leadership have been hallmarks of who she is as a leader, regardless of whether she is leading as a Director of Curriculum and Instruction, an Associate School Director, or even now, as the interim School Director. Jenny’s passion for supporting and serving both students and staff, coupled with her extraordinary DYB, makes her the exact right leader for the GVR HS community and I look forward to seeing all that she - and you - accomplish together.
The feedback of students, staff and families was critical to me in making this decision, and I am grateful for all of you who participated in this process. Here’s just some of what we heard from the Green Valley Ranch team through the interview process:
“Jenny takes ownership of her responsibilities as a leader - she works hard to fulfill her duties at a high level…. She deeply cares about our students and staff and the mission that drives us. She knows what GVR is capable of….” - GVR HS team member
“Jenny is patient and thoughtful in her leadership. She does not stray from set standards and will maintain the legacy GVR has created. Jenny is open to listening to staff, students and community members to improve our school and does not shy away from hard conversations. She is approachable, gentle and clear in all situations I have seen her lead in. Her detail oriented skillset and willingness to put in the work is commendable. ” - GVR HS team member
Again, thank you for your continued partnership and please join me in welcoming Ms. Brown to the role of School Director. Go Raptors!
With gratitude,
Bill Kurtz
