Good evening Denison Montessori community. With the start of February, we acknowledge the importance of Black History Month. As a Denver Public School, it is important to stop and notice the rich tapestry of African American contributions to society as a whole as well as our DPS community. Please take a moment to see the current main lobby art display and bulletin board that honor and celebrate Black History Month.

We also want to acknowledge and celebrate the Lunar New Year! This Friday, we will host the Guiding Mountain Dragon and Lion Dance Association to celebrate this important holiday. Our Primary, Lower Elementary, and Upper Elementary students will be included in the festivities, which will take place from 12:00 - 1:00 in Denison’s gym.

We value the diversity of our community and are proud to present our students with these opportunities to learn about the cultures and communities represented here at Denison Montessori. Have a great week!

Bullying Prevention Tip: Children today have more and more access to Chromebooks, tablets, and cell phones. This makes it easier for them to be bullied or to bully others. This access can also raise other safety issues for our children. Please check out the tips and resources from Stomp Out Bullying on ways to support your child’s safe use of technology.

Save the Dates! Watch Me Work Nights are returning for the second semester. Lower Elementary classrooms will host their Watch Me Work Night on Monday, February 12th. The Primary classrooms’ Watch Me Work Night will be on Wednesday, March 13th. Please watch for more information from your student’s teacher about the time. We hope to see you during these fun evenings!
Denison Montessori has partnered with the Colorado Rapids to promote and acknowledge attendance at our school by giving students who have 95% attendance or 2 or less tardy days, from now until March 8th, a complimentary ticket to a Colorado Rapids match. The Rapids boast one of the most family-friendly and fun game day experiences in town. The complimentary ticket will be good for the Colorado Rapids match on Saturday, March 30th or Saturday, April 20th

FACE University is a resource and learning hub for parents and families in the Denver Metro. We strive to provide resources and tools to support, advocate and engage your students in creating a more well-rounded educational experience.
