Good evening, Denison Montessori community! I don’t know about you, but I’m having a hard time believing we’re in the final month of 2023! This first semester has been a wonderful time of growth and learning for all of our children. The moments of discovery and connection are incredible to witness. Thank you for sharing your children with us!

Please remember that this week is an early release Wednesday, so all students need to be picked up by 1:00 p.m. so our staff members can fully participate in professional development and collaborative planning in support of our students. Have a fantastic week!

Montessori Moment: The Montessori Method of education is based on the Four Planes of Development. At each plane, our educators are considering the physical, psychological, intellectual, and social needs of each child. There is also a short video on the benefits and advantages of Montessori education on this page that you can share with anyone interested in learning more about Montessori practices.

Announcements

Thank you to the families who have already taken a moment to complete our three question survey about your plans for your student next year! Even if you don't know for sure or think your plans might change, we would like all families to complete this survey. We will send another survey out next spring in case your responses have changed. This information helps us work with DPS to set our budget for next year, so your answers are really important. The survey directions and questions are available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
Denver Montessori Junior/Senior High School is hosting two information nights this month on December 11th and 12th. Please see the attached fliers for more details and contact information should you have any questions. (add fliers)
This Friday, December 8th, we will be honoring Dr. Martha Urioste, La Madrina de Montessori in Denver Public Schools. This event will take place in the library from 11:00 - 12:30. We hope you can join us in honoring her legacy at Denison Montessori and Denver Public Schools!
