Good evening, Denison Montessori. We hope you enjoyed the mini Fall Break. Our staff engaged in professional development and planning as well as prepared for parent teacher conferences last Thursday before taking a well deserved day off last Friday. If you weren’t able to schedule a conference for Monday, October 16th, please be sure to communicate with your child’s teacher so you know their progress so far this year.

Bullying Prevention Tip: As we continue Bullying Prevention Month, we want to share resources about how to tell if your child is exhibiting bullying behaviors. Attention to Attendance: 146 students earned a free Colorado Rapids ticket for having 95% or higher attendance and 2 or fewer tardies for the month of September. Way to go! We are close to our goal of having 95% attendance this year, with an overall attendance rate of 93%. The acknowledgement for the meeting the 95% or higher attendance with 2 or fewer tardies for the month of October is a free child’s meal at IHOP. We hope to see the number of students earning this acknowledgement increase this month!

Last call for Fall Festival volunteers! Please sign up to help so this fun community event can be held as scheduled. Thanks!
Denison’s 6th grade students have organized our first spirit week of the school year. It will take place October 30th - November 3rd. The themes for each day are listed below. We hope to see students and staff members join in the fun!
- Monday, 10/30: Rainbow or favorite color day
- Tuesday, 10/31: Pajama day (no costumes, we don’t celebrate Halloween)
- Wednesday, 11/1: Mismatch day
- Thursday, 11/2: Silly hair day
- Friday, 11/3: Denison colors/spirit wear day
Registration for the winter session for after school enrichment begins on Thursday, October 26th, and closes on November 9th. Any Denison student can sign up to join these after school programs. Please see the DENISON MONTESSORI WINTER ENRICHMENT BROCHURE 23-24 for session descriptions, dates, scholarships, and registration. Reach out to enrichment_extendedlearning@dpsk12.org with any questions.
Parent input requested! Please take a few minutes to complete the BESS (Behavioral and Emotional Screening System) for your child/children at Denison Montessori.
