Good evening, Denison Montessori community. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to see the cold temperatures and snow end for the season! I know this is wishful thinking at this point in the year, and I appreciate your support and understanding with delayed start days. I regularly tell anyone who will listen that Denison Montessori families are the best in DPS! Have a great week.

Announcements

Calling all 6th grade parents - we are thrilled that for the first time since 2019, Denison's 6th grade students will get to go on the traditional end of year trip! On Tuesday, February 28th, at 5:30 p.m., the Upper Elementary teachers will be holding a parent meeting about the 6th grade trip in Denison's library. Please mark your calendars and make arrangements to attend this meeting.
Primary classrooms (3 year olds, 4 year olds, and kindergarteners) will be hosting their Watch Me Work Night on Thursday, March 23, from 4:30 - 5:30 pm. The Montessori on Wheels bus, Rungano, will be back on the blacktop that afternoon, too, from 4:30 - 6:30.
Balarat, DPS’s outdoor education program, is opening an online web store for Balarat branded T-shirts and sweatshirts in youth and adult sizes for a limited time from now through March 14th. This store is only for schools who have a Balarat trip in April and May. If you are interested in purchasing an item to support and represent Balarat, please see the attached flier. All proceeds go directly towards supporting and improving the Balarat site and program. The web store will only be open for a LIMITED TIME. After the store closes on March 14th, items will be printed and delivered to Denison shortly after Spring Break.
The Denison Achieves Silent Auction is April 20th-21st. This brings funds for classroom support and materials. Kacey Bennett, FDM chairperson, manages this program. Email FDM at fdmontessori@gmail.com for questions. If you, family, friends, or someone in the community would like to make a donation, please see the attached donation letter and receipt. We accept just about anything and sometimes combine donations to make a package. Anything helps!

Llamando a todos los padres de sexto grado: ¡estamos encantados de que, por primera vez desde 2019, los estudiantes de sexto grado de Denison puedan participar en el viaje tradicional de fin de año!
