Good evening, Denison Montessori community. We had fun celebrating Valentine’s Day last week - maybe you saw some pictures on our Facebook or Instagram pages. If you don’t already follow Denison on these social media apps, check us out!

Announcements

Denison’s next ELA-PAC meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 23, at 9:45 in our library. Spanish and Vietnamese interpretation will be available. Coffee will be provided. We hope to see you there!
DPS has announced its Summer Connections program for students rising to 1st - 5th next year. This program will start on June 9th and end on July 14th with no programming on June 19th and July 4th. The school day will run from 8:20 - 3:30 and DPS is asking students and families to please commit to all 5 weeks of the program. For our rising 6th grade students, a program called GenTeach information will be offered, however the details for this program were not yet available. Watch for more information here for both programs, including how to register, once we have it.
Primary classrooms (3 year olds, 4 year olds, and kindergarteners) will be hosting their Watch Me Work Night on Thursday, March 23. The time will be shared closer to the evening of the event. The Montessori on Wheels bus, Rungano, will be back that afternoon, too. Please stay tuned for more details.
The Denison Achieves Silent Auction is April 20th-21st. This brings funds for classroom support and materials. Kacey Bennett, FDM chairperson, manages this program. Email FDM at fdmontessori@gmail.com for questions. If you, family, friends, or someone in the community would like to make a donation, please see the attached donation letter and receipt. We accept just about anything and sometimes combine donations to make a package. Anything helps!
DPS’s School Choice window has been extended through 4 pm on February 21st. The state of Colorado’s Universal PreKindergarten (UPK) Colorado application window reopened last Friday, Feb. 17 and will now close on Friday, Feb. 24. If families have questions about the UPK Colorado application process, they should call 303-866-5223 or email cdec_upkcolorado@state.co.us.

La próxima reunión de ELA-PAC de Denison está programada para el jueves 23 de febrero a las 9:45 en nuestra biblioteca. Habrá interpretación en español y vietnamita. Se proporcionará café. ¡Esperamos verte ahí!
DPS ha anunciado su programa Conexiones de verano para estudiantes que pasan del 1° al 5° el próximo año. Este programa comenzará el 9 de junio y terminará el 14 de julio sin programación el 19 de junio y el 4 de julio. El día escolar será de 8:20 a 3:30 y DPS pide a los estudiantes y familias que se comprometan con las 5 semanas del programa. Para nuestros futuros estudiantes de sexto grado, se ofrecerá un programa llamado información GenTeach, sin embargo, los detalles de este programa aún no estaban disponibles. Busque más información aquí para ambos programas, incluido cómo registrarse, una vez que la tengamos.
Las aulas de primaria (niños de 3 años, 4 años y niños de jardín de infantes) organizarán su Noche Mírame Trabajar el jueves 23 de marzo. La hora se compartirá más cerca de la noche del evento. DPS đã công bố chương trình Kết nối mùa hè dành cho học sinh lên lớp 1 - 5 vào năm tới. Chương trình này sẽ bắt đầu vào ngày 9 tháng 6 và kết thúc vào ngày 14 tháng 7, không có chương trình vào ngày 19 tháng 6 và ngày 4 tháng 7. Ngày học sẽ diễn ra từ 8:20 - 3:30 và DPS yêu cầu học sinh và gia đình vui lòng cam kết tham gia tất cả 5 tuần của chương trình. Đối với các học sinh lớp 6 đang lên của chúng tôi, một chương trình có tên là thông tin GenTeach sẽ được cung cấp, tuy nhiên vẫn chưa có thông tin chi tiết về chương trình này. Hãy theo dõi để biết thêm thông tin tại đây cho cả hai chương trình, bao gồm cả cách đăng ký, sau khi chúng tôi có.
