Good evening, Denison Montessori community. We loved seeing so many students and families visiting Rungano last week! It was also wonderful having families and students in the building for Lower Elementary’s Watch Me Work Night. We are planning Primary’s Watch Me Work Night for March, so please see below for the date and details. Have a great week!

Announcements

As we are hopefully coming out of the winter flu and cold season, please remember to communicate with the main office about your child’s attendance. DPS’s attendance expectation for elementary students is that students attend 95% of school days. For more information on Denison and DPS’s attendance policies, please see the attendance policy section of Denison’s Family Handbook. You can call the attendance line at 720-424-8094 to report your child’s absence.
Denison’s next ELA-PAC meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 23, at 9:45 in our library. Spanish and Vietnamese interpretation will be available. Coffee will be provided. We hope to see you there!
Would you like to have a voice in decisions that are made that impact Denison Montessori? If so, please plan to attend this month’s CSC meeting on Wednesday, February 15th. The meetings are open to any members of our community. To see what kinds of topics are discussed, please review the agenda and meeting minutes from earlier in the school year.
Primary classrooms (3 year olds, 4 year olds, and kindergarteners) will be hosting their Watch Me Work Night on Thursday, March 23. The time will be shared closer to the evening of the event. The Montessori on Wheels bus, Rungano, will be back that afternoon, too. Please stay tuned for more details.
The Denison Achieves Silent Auction is April 20th-21st. This brings funds for classroom support and materials. Kacey Bennett, FDM chairperson, manages this program. Email FDM at fdmontessori@gmail.com for questions. If you, family, friends, or someone in the community would like to make a donation, please see the attached donation letter and receipt. We accept just about anything and sometimes combine donations to make a package. Anything helps!
Interested in getting involved with FDM? FDM could use help to support picking up roses, fundraising, and supporting the Clothes-to-kids program. Meetings are held virtually on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 5pm here and you can join here: bit.ly/FDMMeeting
Denison decals have arrived! They can be used on cars, windows, to decorate water bottles, or in other creative ways. They are available for purchase in the main office for $1.
