Good evening, Denison Montessori community. Thank you all for supporting our student at the incredible Talent Show last week! We loved having a standing room only crowd for our first talent show post-COVID! Watching our students shine on stage was definitely the highlight of my week. I also want to thank the families who attended our parent education session about brain-based responses to stress and trauma. Look for information about another information session later this spring. We hope to see more families at school this week for Lower Elementary’s Watch Me Work Night and to visit Rungano, the Montessori on Wheels bus. Have a great week!

Announcements

Lower Elementary families are invited to attend Watch Me Work Night this week on Wednesday, February 8th, from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. Students will be able to show their family members they work they have been completing in their classrooms. While that event is taking place, our community partner Montessori on Wheels will be bringing their Montessori classroom bus, Rungano, to Denison for a visit from 4:15 - 6:15. Rungano will be parked on the blacktop on the west side of the school. To learn more about Montessori on Wheels, please visit https://montessorionwheels.org/
Current ECE3 families or new for the 2023-2024 school year ECE3/ECE4 families, please remember you need to complete both the Universal Pre-K application and DPS’s School Choice applications for ECE in the 2023-2024 school year. Both are now accepting applications. Please refer to DPS’s School Choice webpage at https://schoolchoice.dpsk12.org/ or visit https://cdec.colorado.gov/colorado-universal-preschool for more information. The state of Colorado has shared this Family application process demonstration video for families to help them with this process.. We have also learned that DPS’s School Choice system will only allow families to select “Universal PreK” as the school to enroll in. Once in the Universal PreK system, you will be able to select Denison as your school of choice.
