Update on Healthy Start Times for 2023-2024

Good afternoon, Denison Montessori community!  We finally received approval of our Healthy Start arrival and dismissal times for the 2023-2024 school year.  In April, 2021, DPS's Board of Education passed the Healthy Start Times Resolution that would have all middle and high schools start no earlier that 8:20 each school day to support healthy sleep habits in adolescents.  The implementation of this policy has resulted in earlier start and end times for DPS elementary schools.  For the 2023-2024 school year, our day will start at 8:25 a.m. and end at 3:25 p.m.  As we work out the details associated with this change, we will communicate them via ReachWell and our website, denison.dpsk12.org.

To help us begin planning for the 2023-2024 school year, we are asking each family to please complete this quick Google form to let us know if you are planning to have your child/children return to Denison next year.  We know that plans may change, but having this information in January helps us to prepare for next year.
