Good evening, Denison Montessori community. We are headed into the last week of the first semester and what a busy semester it has been! It has been our privilege to watch your children learn and grow over the last few months. We hope your winter break is filled with family and friends and we look forward to seeing you in the new year!

Please remember that breakfast and recess supervision starts at 8:45. Students do not have access to the building until that time. Please do not drop your child off without supervision prior to 8:45 a.m. Thank you for your support in keeping our students safe..

Would you like to have a voice in decisions that are made that impact Denison Montessori? If so, please plan to attend this month’s CSC meeting on Tuesday, December 13th. The meetings are open to any members of our community. To see what kinds of topics are discussed, please review meeting minutes and agendas from earlier in the school year.
DPS’s December Multilingual Education (MLE) DAC meeting will take place at Abraham Lincoln High School on Wednesday, December 14th, from 5-7 pm. Dinner and childcare will be provided. If you plan to attend please RSVP here to help determine the amount of food and childcare needed for the event. If you would like to attend as a volunteer please register here. Denison’s next ELA-PAC meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 15, at 9:45 in our library. Spanish and Vietnamese interpretation will be available. Agenda items will include volunteering at Denison, the benefits of Montessori instruction, ACCESS testing, and more. Coffee will be provided. We hope to see you there!
Ely Lovell, Denison’s school psychologist, will host the last TSEAL Coffee talk of the semester on Friday, December 16th, at 9:15 a.m. in Denison’s library. Participants will explore the unintended impacts and consequences breaks and long weekends may have on our students and why more structured planning may be beneficial. We'll talk through some options that may work for you and your child, and share other ideas or resources with parents on what has made breaks or long weekends successful for you!
New spirit wear has finally arrived and we are now taking orders for it! The cost of the t-shirts are $20 each.
