Good evening, Denison Montessori. Spirit Week was great fun last week! We end the month tomorrow with National Knock Knock Joke Day (Denison does not celebrate Halloween). I’m looking forward to hearing some unique and creative knock knock jokes!

Denison’s parent-teacher organization, Families of Denison Montessori (FDM), will be hosting the Usborne Book Fair the week of November 7th - 11th. Please watch for more information from FDM soon about times the Book Fair will be open for sales. If you have completed your DPS volunteer approval and are interested in helping with this event, please email fdmontessori@gmail.com
We are proud to have the return of Watch Me Work Nights this school year. These evening events allow families to see what your child is learning in their Montessori classroom. Upper Elementary will host the first Watch Me Work Night of the school year on Thursday, November 10th, from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Families of our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students should look for more information from your child’s teacher. Primary and Lower Elementary families will have the opportunity to engage in Watch Me Work Nights later this year.
Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 15th. Retakes are for new ECE students or students that were absent during the original picture days. Students may also choose to have a retake and will need to bring the original portrait packet to turn in to the photographer. Parents can order online at MyLifetouch.com. The Event Code is EVTTZRT33. This code will be active through November 17th. Should you miss this deadline to order you will have another opportunity when the proofs are distributed to the students. The proofs usually arrive 2 weeks after the retake date (November 15).

La organización de padres y maestros de Denison, Families of Denison Montessori (FDM), organizará la Feria del Libro de Usborne la semana del 7 al 11 de noviembre. Esté atento a más información de FDM pronto sobre las horas en que la Feria del Libro estará abierta para las ventas. Estamos orgullosos de tener el regreso de Watch Me Work Nights este año escolar. Estos eventos nocturnos permiten a las familias ver lo que su hijo está aprendiendo en su salón de clases Montessori.
