Good evening, Denison Montessori community! I hope you enjoyed last weekend’s Fall Festival as much as I did! It was wonderful to see so many of you and to have this opportunity for our community to come together. A huge thank you to Families of Denison Montessori for organizing this community event!

Announcements

As we move into the last full week of October, our 6th grade students have organized a spirit week for the next week. The themes for each day are:
- Monday, October 24: Sport Day
- Tuesday, October 25: Twin/Triplet Day
- Wednesday, October 26: Wacky Day
- Thursday, October 27: Decades Day
- Friday, October 28: Denison/Pajama Day
Monday’s temperatures are forecasted to be significantly colder than the weather last week. Please send your children to school prepared for cold weather as we will go outside to recess all winter long unless it is icy on the blacktop, snowing, or the temperatures are colder than 32 degrees.
Denison Montessori will launch our first in person English Language Acquisition Parent Advisory Committee (ELA-PAC) on Thursday, October 27th at 9:45 a.m. This committee provides families with information about programming for our multilingual learners, increases communication between families of multilingual learners and schools, reviews programming for multilingual learners, and listens and responds to family concerns. Interpretation services are available for all ELA-PAC meetings. Please call the main office for more information. We hope to see as many of you as possible!
Denison Montessori is now a member of DPS’s Montessori Collaborative. Our collaborative is providing joint parent education opportunities for families at all of DPS’s Montessori Schools. Some of the upcoming opportunities include:
- Supporting Social Emotional Development, October 26, 5:30 - 7:00 pm Sandoval is hosting a virtual session about how to support children’s social emotional development. Some of the content at the end is specific to Sandoval, but most of the outcomes are relevant to all. Spanish interpretation will be provided. Google Meet link will be provided as the date gets closer.
- SAVE THE DATE: Nov. 16 from 5:30-7pm - Middle School Options The Montessori Collaborative will be hosting a virtual session for all DPS Montessori students in 3rd-6th grade to discuss different options for middle school and the benefits of each. Mr. Sheldon Reynolds, DMHS Principal, will share information about DMHS. More details and a Google Meet Link will be provided as the date gets closer
