This week’s October Fun calendar includes self care activities and celebration of our paraprofessionals, office staff, facilities staff, and food services staff. Please join us in honoring and recognizing the individuals who keep our school running this week. If you are interested in donating food or supplies for a potluck recognizing our support staff, please sign up here. Suggested ways to recognize these individuals include bringing a flower for a support staff member on Tuesday, donating an item for the potluck on Wednesday, and writing a thank you note for a staff member on Thursday. Thank you for your support of our incredibly dedicated staff!
Lifetouch Pictures will take place this week on October 11th & 12th. Your child’s teacher will share the date and time for their class. Orders can be placed online at MyLifetouch.com. Event Code EVTZTBXRQ. The event code will be active until October 14th. Should you miss this deadline your next opportunity to order will be when your child receives his/her proofs. The proofs will have a unique access code and portrait ID # that can be used to place your order. Should you have any questions regarding orders please contact Lifetouch Parent Line at 1-800-736-4753.
Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday, October 13 from 4:30 - 8:00 pm and Friday, October 14th, from 9:00am - 1:00 pm. Your child’s teacher will share sign up information. Due to the limited number of conference slots, we ask that each family sign up for one slot only. If this is not possible due to extenuating circumstances, please work with your child’s teacher.
On the evening of October 13th, DPS’s culinary services department will be hosting a community meal in Denison’s multipurpose room. For $5 (cash only), folks can enjoy a dinner of Meatball, Chicken, or Eggplant Parmesan sandwich, house salad, and roasted apples. Please pre-order here to ensure they prepare enough food.
ECE3, ECE4, and kindergarten parents and guardians, please submit all required enrollment and ECE documents to Mrs. Alice in the main office by Thursday, October 13. To maintain compliance with state licensing regulations, your child will not be able to attend school on after this date until all required paperwork is completed.
Denison Montessori would like to invite you to our first Coffee Talk, a time for parents, guardians, and family members to connect with Ely Lovell, School Psychologist, and Liana Karam, Social Worker. Coffee Talk gives parents a casual space to ask some of the topics you may be navigating as parents and support you and your students by providing time to ask questions and access resources. Don't worry, coffee will most definitely be provided! The first introductory Coffee Talk will take place on October 20th at 9:30 am in the Denison Library. We hope to see you there!
