Please join us in celebrating October Fun month. This calendar has suggestions for each school day of ways to celebrate with your children. On Tuesday, October 4th, scratch baked cinnamon rolls will be featured on our breakfast menu and tacos will be on the menu for lunch. Thursday, October 6th, will be “Wear Your Favorite Color” day. Please watch for more information about self care and spirit weeks later this month. Enjoy!
Denison Montessori would like to invite you to our first Coffee Talk, a time for parents, guardians, and family members to connect with Ely Lovell, School Psychologist, and Liana Karam, Social Worker. Coffee Talk gives parents a casual space to ask some of the topics you may be navigating as parents and support you and your students by providing time to ask questions and access resources. Don't worry, coffee will most definitely be provided! The first introductory Coffee Talk will take place on October 20th at 9:30 am in the Denison Library. We hope to see you there!
ECE3, ECE4, and kindergarten parents and guardians, please submit all required enrollment and ECE documents to Mrs. Alice in the main office by Thursday, October 13. To maintain compliance with state licensing regulations, your child will not be able to attend school on after this date until all required paperwork is completed.
October Count Day is tomorrow, October 3rd. This is the date that the state of Colorado uses to determine DPS’s attendance, enrollment, and funding. Please do not schedule any appointments for this date as we would love to have 100% attendance on this date. If your child is sick, please keep them home regardless of count day.
Lifetouch Pictures will take place on October 11th & 12th. Your child’s teacher will share the date and time for their class. Orders can be placed online at MyLifetouch.com. Event Code EVTZTBXRQ. The event code will be active until October 14th. Should you miss this deadline your next opportunity to order will be when your child receives his/her proofs. The proofs will have a unique access code and portrait ID # that can be used to place your order. Should you have any questions regarding orders please contact Lifetouch Parent Line at 1-800-736-4753. (add attachments)
Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday, October 13 from 4:30 - 8:00 pm and Friday, October 14th, from 9:00am - 1:00 pm. Your child’s teacher will share sign up information. Due to the limited number of conference slots, we ask that each family sign up for one slot only. If this is not possible due to extenuating circumstances, please work with your child’s teacher.
On the evening of October 13th, DPS’s culinary services department will be hosting a community meal in Denison’s multipurpose room. For $5, families can enjoy a dinner of Chicken Parmesan, garlic focaccia, house salad, and roasted apples. Cash will be the only form of payment and meals will be available to go as well as eat in.
At Denison Montessori we value families as essential partners in children's education. In order to plan the most meaningful parent education sessions for you this year, we're seeking your ideas and feedback. Please complete this survey to support our planning process.
