Food Services Reminder for this year: 

  • Breakfast remains free for all students
  • students must pay for lunch with cash or with funds on their account
  • each meal is $3.00 ($2.45 w/out milk)
    • Families that qualify for Free/Reduced lunch are not charged for their 1st meal
  • each student will be charged for requesting 2nds regardless of FRL status
  • students will not be denied 1st meals and will be reminded of negative balances for 2nd meals
    • we will send a separate message to families with students who have a negative meal balance

Request for Parent/Guardian Volunteers: We are looking to recruit some of our amazing parents/guardians to volunteer some of your time in our amazing building!

There are a number of different support opportunities listed in the form that we have in mind for you. Volunteering at DSST Montivew MS does require a background check. Once you express your interest in the form, Mr. Ruiz will send you a link to complete the background check.

Culture Corner

Paychecks and Dragon’s Market!

  • Paychecks: Each week, students receive a paycheck that captures the amount of CV points, shown as dollars (one dollar equals one CV point), earned and lost each week. Students start with a base of $35 each week and their paychecks will reflect more or less money than this number, based on how many points they earn or lose. Paychecks will be handed out every Wednesday and should be signed at home by a parent/guardian.
    • Students will need to show their signed paycheck on Thursdays in Advisory.
  • Dragon’s Market: Students earn CV points by showing our core values every chance they get. Ordering items requires the order form to be completed on Wednesdays in morning advisory. Students who attempt to place orders outside of this time frame will receive a computer violation.
    • On Friday mornings in advisory, students will receive the items they have ordered.
    • We will gladly accept donations of items for the Dragon's Market

Cell Phones Policy: cell phones are to remain in lockers, either turned off or on silent

Refocus: when a student is assigned a Refocus, they are required to spend time during Recess/Lunch writing a reflection on their behavior. Their reflection is emailed to parents/guardians and to staff.
