Dear KCAA Community,

"For thirteen years, I have had the privilege and honor of being the Principal here at KCAA. My role has changed and evolved over the years. I was first a K-8 Principal and was given the gift to design a High School. A K-12 Principal with over 1000 students. An Executive Principal with a separate Elementary Principal while I served the 6-12 grades and once again, this last year, as the K-12 Principal once again. Our school has weathered growth, reduction and a global pandemic and I feel it is stronger now than ever before. Tomorrow I start a new journey for myself. As many of you know, I am heading into retirement with all the questions many people have. My son will enter the University of Michigan for Computer Engineering and my daughter will be a senior in High School. I am proud of my own children and extremely proud of all of yours. My 13 years at KCAA has taught me resilience, innovation, patience, humility but most importantly one thing....never stop learning. There are so many things I would like to still learn as I enter this new phase of my life and every student and family who has ever come to KCAA has been a part of my learning. I offer this final goodbye to all of our families. Thank you for letting me serve the community, the staff and the students of KCAA for a generation. You will always be in my mind and my heart."

With the deepest of gratitude and humblest of appreciation,
Pete
