We want to give a huge shout-out to all our 3rd through 5th-grade students for completing their CMAS testing! So many of our students showed the Ford Habits of Scholarship including being focused, organized, responsible, and determined! To celebrate, the students in grades 3-5 will enjoy a free Kona Ice treat tomorrow afternoon!
Volunteer Appreciation Week
This week is Volunteer Appreciation Week! We are grateful for all the volunteers who serve our community. Thank you for chaperoning the field trips, serving on the CSC, helping in classrooms, teaching English, and so much more! We appreciate you!
After School Safety
Our after-school programs run through 6:00 p.m. and need access to our playground and fields during this time. No unaccompanied students are allowed on school grounds until after 6:00 p.m.
If your child is part of the Barney Ford flag football team, they should arrive no earlier than 3:55. Arriving earlier is a safety concern and is not permitted. Please be sure your children are supervised after school for their own safety.
Free Barney Ford Summer Day Camps
Barney Ford Discovery Link offers free Summer Day Camps from June 10th to August 2nd at McGlone Academy (4500 Crown Blvd, Denver, CO 80239). Open to students up to 5th grade, including ECE students entering Kinder. Activities include social, emotional, academic learning, and sports clinics.
Visit the Discovery Link Program for support with registration. Thursdays in the cafe from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Barney Ford Elementary School.

5th Grade Families: $1000 Available for Summer Camps
My Spark Denver is now accepting eligible 11-year-old/ 5th graders transitioning into 6th grade! This program offers $1,000 for summer camps and after-school activities. If you currently have a 5th grader transitioning into 6th grade CLICK HERE. Once you’re approved, you will receive your $1,000 debit card in the mail. Use this debit card to pay for activities at any of the My Spark Denver providers. Your My Spark Card can also be used to purchase equipment if the equipment is sold through the provider! Attendance Update
Our attendance rate last week was 91.7%%. 5th grade had the best attendance again at 95.36%.Go fifth grade!
