Summer Connections

Dear Barney Ford Families,

Great news - Summer Connections registration is now open! We want to invite your student to attend Summer Connections, a free, five-week academic program that is open to all rising first through fifth-grade DPS students at eligible schools. This full-day program focuses on preparing elementary students for future success.

Students will engage with content they will see in the upcoming school year, which will include instruction in foundational literacy, math, science, and technology. Our enrichment partners will provide enrichment opportunities daily.

Summer Connections Details

The program will occur from June 17 to July 19, except for holidays, at 10 locations. Breakfast and lunch are provided at all locations.
Transportation in the morning and afternoon will be provided to students who live more than one mile from their assigned Summer Connections location. Students must register by April 26 to be guaranteed a bus stop.

Información detallada sobre Summer Connections

El programa se implementará desde el 17 de junio al 19 de julio (exceptuando días feriados) en 10 ubicaciones. Se provee el desayuno y el almuerzo en todas las ubicaciones.
Se ofrece servicio de transporte por la mañana y por la tarde a los estudiantes que vivan a más de una milla de distancia de la ubicación asignada del programa. Para asegurarse una parada de autobús, es necesario inscribirse antes del 26 de abril.
