Dear Families,

 

We have a busy week ahead with many opportunities to be involved at Barney Ford. We hope to see you at conferences and for coffee next Friday.

Tomorrow: Dollar Dress Down Day

Tomorrow is our first Dollar Dress Down Day of the school year. Send a dollar with each of your students so they can wear their favorite clothes. Students not participating in Dollar Dress Down need to wear their school uniform. 

Tuesday - Wednesday: Interim Testing

Students in grades 3-5 will take i-Ready interim assessments in math and literacy next week. We use this information to help meet the individual needs of your students. Encourage your child to get lots of rest and do their best on these assessments.

 

Wednesday & Thursday: Parent-Teacher Conferences

On October 4th and 5th, we will be holding Parent-Teacher Conferences from 3:45-7:00 pm. Conferences are an important opportunity for you to check in with your child’s teacher. You’ll also get tips on how to support your child’s learning at home. Contact your child’s teacher to sign up for a conference.

Friday: Coffee and Conversation

Please join us next Friday, Oct 6th from 7:45-8:45 for Coffee and Conversation with the principals. At this event, we will vote for the Collaborative School Committee (CSC) members, learn about saving for college and career training, and answer your questions.

 

Attendance Update

Our school attendance goal is 95% every day. Last week our attendance rate was 93%. For the second week in a row, third grade had the best attendance at 96%. Congratulations!!

Starting next week, we will be celebrating the classes with the best attendance every Friday. Help your child’s class win by making sure they attend school every day.
