Dear DCIS at Ford Parents,
Next week (December 5-11) is Computer Science Education Week. This is a worldwide event! If you've heard about the Hour of Code, you might know that it has made history. More than 100 million students have now discovered how accessible and fun computer science can be by doing an Hour of Code activity. DCIS at Ford is one of many DPS schools that will be participating in the DPS Computer Science Education Week. During your child/children's Technology class, they will be doing some coding lessons on the Hour of Code website. Hour of Code is a simple and fun way to introduce all families to computer science. Click on How to do an Hour of Code with your child and try an activity yourself so you can be introduced to the world of computing! In addition, this website has over 50 different languages that can easily be changed. Enjoy exploring the Hour of Code!
