RFMA Morning Arrival

Students may enter the school building through the Main Entrance starting at 8:00 AM everyday. Students eating breakfast will enter at 8:00 AM and will eat their breakfast in the cafeteria and all students will go directly to class by 8:20 AM. Breakfast is no longer free, so please plan accordingly. We are available to help complete the Lunch application in our Main Office.

Currently, we do not provide free supervision before 8:00 AM and after 4:00 PM so please remember to be on time when picking up and dropping off your student.

Front Entry Loop Drive

RFMA Safety Champions is a group of staff, parents and community volunteers who are dedicated to the safety of RFMA students and families.

RFMA Safety Champions will be stationed along the front entry loop drive and will communicate the arrival of the family vehicle to the Safety Champions supervising the release of students. The students will be directed to the family vehicle. The Adams County Public Works Department has installed a dedicated student (pick up) loading zone on the West Side of Meade Street to serve Middle School students only.

RFMA Afternoon Dismissal

Student’s are dismissed at 3:30 P.M. Monday through Thursday and on Friday’s at 1:30 P.M. If you would like to pull your student out of school early we ask that you do so by 3:00 P.M. or 1:00 P.M. on Friday’s. If your student is participating in a club or sport they must stay with their designated teacher.

RFMA Safety Champions will encourage families in vehicles to:

  • Once you turn onto school property, use the far right lane for drop-off and the left lane for passing cars in the drop-off lane and exiting out of the property.
  • Unlock their vehicle doors so students can enter the vehicle directly
  • Pull all the way forward and close to the curb, allowing other vehicles to pass safely
  • Load students from curbside only
  • Follow direction of RFMA Safety Champions to load the loop drive efficiently
  • Safety Champions will assist small children as they enter their vehicles
  • Parents will be discouraged from idling in the loop. If additional time is required during pick up, parents will park in the lot or on the street and escort students to their vehicle when ready.
  • Students will be discouraged from crossing the street and vehicular traffic patterns at all times.
  • Any parent that insists on parking on adjacent streets for pick up will be asked to escort their children from the school front sidewalk to their vehicle.
  • Parents can drop students off anywhere along the sidewalk/fire lane if they have pulled all the way forward.
  • Please slowly pull ALL THE WAY forward when lane is clear, before stopping

Thank you for keeping our students and community safe. We appreciate you and your commitment to safety!
