Dear Teller Families,
We know summer break just kicked off, but here at Teller, we’re already dreaming about fresh school supplies, first-day smiles, and all the exciting things the 2025-2026 school year will bring! Whether you’re soaking up the sun or just enjoying slower mornings, we hope your family is off to a great start this summer.
This letter is full of important information to help both our current and new families stay informed and prepared for the upcoming school year. While not everything is happening right now, these are key dates, reminders, and action steps to keep on your radar as we move through the summer. It’s a bit of a read, but we promise—it’s packed with helpful info!
If your plans have changed and your child(ren) will not be returning to Teller next year, please let us know by filling out this form so we can plan accordingly.
1) Staying Connected
The best way to stay connected over the summer is through our current school app, ReachWell, and our website. As much as we’ve loved using ReachWell, DPS is requiring all schools to transition to a new platform, Thrillshare, for the 2025–2026 school year.
ReachWell will remain active through June 30, 2025, and Teller will officially move to Thrillshare starting July 1, 2025. We’ll share sign-up and download instructions as soon as they’re available.
2) Teller Pantry Friends
The Teller Pantry will be closed from June 3rd through June 12th for cleaning, organizing, and restocking. It will reopen on Friday, June 13, and remain open every Friday from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM through August 15 (please note we’ll be closed on July 4).
All Teller families are welcome to stop by anytime they are open! Please use Door 5, located near the school parking lot.
Want to lend a hand? Check out our Summer 2025 volunteer opportunities and sign up to help!
3) 2025-2026 School Calendar
You can view Teller’s 2025-2026 school year calendar here. Just a quick reminder: the first day of school for our Kindergarten through 5th grade students is Monday, August 18th, and Tuesday, August 19th for our ECE students.
4) Bell Schedule
Since becoming part of The Central East Denver Enrollment Zone, Teller’s bell schedule is shifting this fall. Starting in August, school will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. for all students.
5) Classroom Teacher Assignments
At Teller, we’re committed to building diverse, inclusive, and equitable learning environments in every classroom. Equity is our top priority when developing class lists, which is why we do not accept parent requests for specific teachers. Our team carefully considers a variety of factors to ensure balanced classrooms that support the academic and social-emotional needs of all students. With that being said, class lists will be posted on the cafeteria windows and available on Parent Portal beginning Friday, August 8th.
6) Required Fall Registration
Skip the paperwork and register online this fall! Online registration opens July 28 and closes August 8. To complete registration, log into the Parent Portal, click on “See All Apps,” then select “Online Registration” to verify or update your student’s information. As a reminder, all students must be registered on Parent Portal before the first day of school.
If you do not have a Parent Portal account, you can create one by following these steps:
-
- Navigate to Parent Portal and click on “Create a Parent account” below the "Login to Parent or Student Portal" button. Fill out the form on the next screen. You will need the ID number of one of your students in order to create a Parent Portal account. If you do not know your student’s ID, go to Student ID Retrieval.
- Once the form is completed, click “Submit”. You will be prompted to select your username and password; click “Submit”
- An activation email will be sent to the email used to create your account. Please click the link in the email in order to activate your account. Once completed, you will receive another email informing you that your account is now active (this may take up to 15 minutes).
7) School Supplies
To simplify back-to-school prep, all returning and new Teller students (ECE–5th grade) are asked to purchase their school supplies through Teller’s PTA.
Take advantage of our early bird pricing—just $50 per student if paid by July 31! Click here to order school supplies.
You might notice the cost has gone down this year! That’s thanks to the collaborative efforts of our PTA and staff to reduce waste, reuse materials where possible, and take advantage of bulk pricing—while still ensuring every classroom has what it needs.
Please note: the following items are not included and should be brought on the first day of school:
-
- ECE–5th Grade: Backpack, reusable water bottle, and lunchbox
- Kindergarten–5th Grade: Wired headphones
- ECE Only: Bedroll and two reusable Wet/Dry Bags
Need support? Scholarships are available—please reach out to Treisi Martinez.
8) Fall Enrichment Brochure & Registration Information
We’re excited to announce that the Fall 2025 Enrichment Brochure is now available! Take a moment to explore the wide range of classes and activities being offered this session.
Registration will take place through MySchoolBucks, and please note that late registrations cannot be accepted—so be sure to mark your calendar!
Key Dates:
-
- Fall Session: August 25 – October 31
- Makeup Week: November 3 – 7
- Registration Window: July 30 – August 13
If you’re applying for a scholarship, the application form (linked on the first page of the brochure) will go live when registration opens.
We wish all of our students, families, and staff a summer filled with rest, joy, and meaningful time with loved ones. This school year has been an incredible journey, and we’re so proud of the dedication, resilience, and growth shown by our entire community.
As you enjoy this well-deserved break, we hope you return in the fall feeling refreshed and ready for another exciting year of learning, connection, and opportunity. Have a safe, relaxing summer—we can’t wait to welcome you back!
Warm Regards,
Sabrina Bates, Principal
