TELLER PTA Leadership OPEN Positions (2024-2025)

The Teller PTA has an Executive Team and Board at Large positions open for the 2024-2025 school year. If you’re interested in volunteer leadership, we’d love to start a conversation with you! PTA Executive Team Positions

 

What are Executive Team positions?

 

The PTA Executive Team consists of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Fundraising Chair (and Elect positions, when filled). These positions take on the primary leadership roles for the Teller PTA membership body and serve as the direct liaisons between school leadership, the Teller community, and other supportive partners.

 

Time Commitment

  • 1x month PTA Exec-led Board Meeting
  • 1x month PTA Community Meeting
  • 1x month meeting with school leadership
  • Attend and support school-led community events, when available

 

OPEN: Secretary

A member of the PTA executive team who keeps things organized.  Plan meetings, write agendas, take minutes and send key reminders to PTA board members monthly.  Keep up with organizational requirements such as insurance and maintaining our active status with the Colorado Secretary of State. This person will also serve as the liaison between Teller Leadership’s Dean of Operations and the PTA and will collaborate with BAL-External Communications.  

 

Board at Large (BAL) Positions

What is a BAL position?

These are more flexible than traditional PTA executive committee roles.  These key volunteers take ownership of a specific project & maintain a strong connection to the PTA executive team and Teller leadership staff.  Some are short, time limited projects and some will require attention throughout the year. These parent leaders will be welcomed at all PTA Executive Team meetings, but are only required to attend when they need to discuss their project/specialty area.  Each BAL position will be linked to an Executive Team member for support and collaboration, when needed.

Time Commitment

  • OPTIONAL- 1x month Exec-led Board Meeting 
    • Always welcome to attend, only required to attend when BAL volunteer needs to report out on project/specialty area
  • 1x month PTA Community Meeting
  • Attend and support school-led community events, when available

 

OPEN: BAL- External Communications

 

This position takes the lead on drafting and submitting Teller news to external audiences like the Congress Park and South City Park Neighborhood Newsletters. Our local neighborhood newsletters love to include Teller staff spotlight articles and stories about what’s going on at Teller in their publications. This position also manages the PTA social media accounts in real time, posting fundraising opportunities like Fun Run, Totally Teller, Dine Out Nights and other opportunities as they arise!
