Hi Teller Families - Ms. Cheryl is out this week, so this will be a somewhat abbreviated Pride Post

CMAS Testing:

April 9th-11th next week will be ELA CMAS testing for grades 3-5. No volunteers for 3rd-5th grade will be allowed in classrooms during those days.

April 16th-18th will be Math CMAS testing for 3-5. No volunteers for 3rd-5th grade during those days.

April 23rd-25th will be Science CMAS testing for 5th grade. No volunteers will be permitted in 5th grade classrooms. 

Thanks for your cooperation while we complete our annual mandated testing!

School Choice:

Applications for School Choice Round 2 will open on April 10, 2024 at 10:00 am

Early Bird Window will be open May 6 - May 24, 2024. Register online this spring and avoid paper forms and save time at school during the fall. To register online, sign in to Parent Portal, click on "See All Apps", then click on "Online Registration" to verify or update your students' information. Online registration can only be completed by the parent/guardian listed in the primary household of the student record.

Need a Parent Portal account?

Navigate to the Parent Portal and click on "Create a Parent Account" below the "Login to Parent or Student Portal" button. Fill out the form on the next screen. You will need the ID number of one of your students in order to create a Parent Portal account. If you do not know your student's ID, go to Student ID Retrieval or contact your current school office.

1. Once the form is complete, click "Submit". You will be prompted to select your username and password. Click "Submit".

2. An activation e-mail will be sent to the address used to create your account. Please click the link in the e-mail in order to activate your account. Once completed, you will receive another e-mail informing you that your account is now active (this may take up to 15 minutes).

Teller Den Night:

Save the date for the next and FINAL Teller Den Night of the school year - April 27th at 6:00pm! There will be dinner and a whole array of activities, including arts & crafts, scavenger hunt, and age-appropriate movies.

Teller Art & Music Walk:

Save the Date for the Teller Art & Music Walk on Saturday, April 27.  Student art will be exhibited on Colfax and Steele streets beginning at noon. Student band, violin and choir performances will take place outdoors 1-3pm at 1521 Steele St.

Happy Earth Month! We wanted to update you on some of the exciting work we're doing and the ways that you can get involved.
 
CLIMATE ADVOCACY
HERE AT TELLER
  • Reducing Single Use Plastic.  We are working on a plastic film drive through community partner Ridwell. Look for additional information next week!
  • Earth Month in the Library. The Earth Rangers are curating the library display for the month of April. Ask your kids to pick up a book from the display!
  • Save the Date for Bike, Walk and Roll day on May 8th.
  • Community Clean up Days. We're planning a community clean up led by 5th graders and honoring a beloved community member.
  • Garden Expansion. This spring our garden will be bustling with new growth!

Update from Ms. Bartos: April 12th at 5:00 pm in the Auditorium. Makena Bartos will perform her senior recital on trumpet, all are invited. She will have a special guest - Big Band. Doors will open at 4:45 pm.
